Bulls Paradise adjoins the generators and workshops to the east, and the camping field to the south. Herein lies the Marisco stronghold, ample evidence still visible to the most casual observer. Erroneously, the Castle had traditionally been considered to be the Marisco encampment.

The scars of the buildings are quite visible and are extensive: archaeological surveys have shown not only the buildings stretched through Bulls Paradise in toward the lambing sheds, but also through the camping field below what is now the staff quarters. There is an older cemetery that runs from Bulls Paradise down below the present generators: here lay the famous Giants Graves, discovered by some of William Hudson Heavens workmen in the mid 19th century . (The pillow stone from the male grave sits prominently  inside the porch to the church).
